That's if our elections are legit..... they've been telling us there's foreign interference at the federal level, I don't think for a second they haven't been meddling around in our local elections aswell. What if all the division they stoke between east/west or ndp or conservative was all a bunch of bs to give us the illusion of choice?
What if the illusion resides in your own head: the false perception of reality that people that think your way out-vote the others? Maybe there actually are more of "them" at the polls. In fact literally all the data, election after election, would support this. Meanwhile there is zero reliable data that supports the opposite.

Is there anyone here from High River, that was there when the flood happened?

My neighbor was, and he has nothing nice to say about her. She promised the town the world, and make sure that the rcmp were held accountable for all the break ins, and removing of fire arms. Well...... something happened, that the grass looked better on the other side, and she left HR without helping any!!!
He said, that the worst thing that could happen to Alberta, is her getting elected. He has no use for Notley and even less for Smith.

I hope there is some one here from High River, that can elaborate more on this

There have been numerous stories about election interference in the last few weeks both in canada and us. It doesn't make me crazy for questioning the crazy world around us.

Don't know how that could be since it was a conservative government at the time not wild Rose. Would have been Redford or Prentice as Premier? Both were a black eye for the Province.

She is the Leader of the new Conservative movment in Alberta and Pierre Poilievre federally stand with these leaders or Nutley and Truedope will be there to continue their destruction to Canada. By know means am I say she is the best, but she what we got now and I think she has some good ideas. Will she be the next Ralf Klein we all been waiting for ........time will tell.

They shut her out Doug. She wanted into the town to assess as a provincial MLA and they told her to stay away. She wasn’t even allowed to consult with officials when planning was happening. Shame on High River and shame on the RCMP

If you vote for NDP you are voting against all the things people love to do on this site. Remember how they wanted to shut down the back country, made a park where one was not wanted...They( and I mean Nothead) are not here for us( albertans) they want to change this province into a social program.

There is not 1 Narccisistic Socialist in the world that can prove to me that Socialism has worked in any country world wide ever. Only the Koo-Laid drinkers/Union fat cats that have been poured a few glasses and been spoon fed their BS buy into their BS. Still smh as to the level of ignorance people have due to not doing any research. Some of these politicians are not the best nor will they ever be for everyone. If 1 starts showing some Conservative minded skills and results then 1 would think from a conservative point of view that, that is your man or woman. Unlike Socialists that think cheque books balance themselves at the expense of the taxpayer until the $$ runs out. Socialists that only want to be paid a stipend for sitting at home DFA and then whine about it when they end up getting nothing down the road because the $$ ran out.

Not sure how Danielle Smith has any responsibility for the mass rain fall that melted the snow pack that flood most of Southern Alberta . I was in High River and had to evacuate just like everyone else did . I held out for a few days and was separated from my wife that was working at the hospital so we had to meet in Aldersyde and couldn't get back in . Fortunately my neighbor hunkered down and kept my genie filled with fuel and looked after my place and many others . I never knew or heard of any break ins other than the band of rookie RCMP busting down doors of targeted homes . They're was an inquiry done on the RCMP and they're hands were slapped I'm sure . It was like a war zone here and many people from all over came to help get our town back up and running which we're all grateful for .

I like her and think she's matured into her role . I truly believe she's our best candidate to move our province forward and think if her and Pierre are running things it looks promising for my Sons future in Alberta .

NDP got voted in Alberta that one term as a protest vote. Wildrose would have won, but danielle smith fuct that one up....

Hopefully she gets it right this time.
from what i see, she is on the right track. although she could slow down a bit, pick a lane and clear that up before veering into another one!

Smith was our Leader of the Wildrose and our MLA during the flood. I heard her on several occasion's say she was going to hold RCMP accountable. The main problem is not long after she said that, she went silent, not even a whisper. I realize that she was only the opposition leader, but she could have raised some hell at least put in a fight for the people of High River. What went on in High River after the flood was 10X worse than anything that went on during the Pandemic, yet where were all the Freedom Fighters then? Your neighbour knows first hand her conviction to firearms rights. I'll tell you one thing for Absolute Sure she is and never will be a Ralph Klein. I hope she can at the very least get a minority government in the next election, because I can't face 4 more years of Knot Head.

From what I have seen you are right, she is way more intelligent than Klein.
If I remember correctly he started the decline of the Alberta health care system with to many cuts and it has never recovered.

Who knows what happens behind the scenes especially when the floods where going on. That being said, the mafia known as the RCMP need a better system of checks and balances. They are too easily controlled by ottawa.

You don’t remember correctly… the spending on healthcare has always been out of control. There has been many attempts at reining it in over the years, but every government has been blinded by negotiating with unions that are too powerful. The real issue (and this is for most areas in the developed world) is that healthcare “professionals” should receive compensation based on the health of the population, not on the number of visits to your doctor (and subsequent referrals to specialists). This never ending cycle of appointments just keeps the big wheel moving, and the spending carries on as the population grows.

As for everyones beloved Ralph… its always easy to govern when the cheque book is full of money. Our current healthcare status has nothing to do with him.

Just sent a year end donation to the UCP. Please do the same. I don’t think they have any money as all I hear on the talk radio station I listen to is NDP commercials bashing Smith. If something doesn’t change I may change stations. My wife doesn’t like me swearing at the radio when she’s in the truck with me.
