Ice scratchers

I just bought ice scratchers for my 08 m8 and the package said 09/10 on it, so I called the dealer and they said they all fit on the same sleds. But in the diagram where the pictures says to mount them I have a wheel there. So where do they go? Anyone have pictures of where they mounted theirs?

No picture but I have an 07 m8 with the cat scratchers and I removed the front idlers and mounted there. Make sure you put your scratchers down when on the trail or you will melt your sliders where the idlers used to be.

That being said, I have put on 1100 miles since removing those idlers and my sliders still have lots left.

No problems so far. 4 fellow M riders I know run the same setup. I only run 6 wheels: 2 at the back, 2 top idlers and 2 idlers at the bottom by the shock.

Here is a picture. You can see where the scratcher mounts and when you mount it there, they are bent just right to clear the torsional springs and hook onto the rail when not in use. Just noticed I have a willow stuck in there

Dont use them often, but they work well, just not sure if the tension will last.

Drilled a hole to mount them, it just looked like the right spot....
