Homemade tps tool

I phone charger puts out 5 volts haven't looked at tps yet what else do I need to rig something up so I can check tps

I went to action electronics and got a 5v regulator 9v battarys plug some probes and made my own works great
also think u can just power up the harness and use spoons to back probe the harness not sure on the second one cause I just set it with the tool I built was prob 5$ to build
