Bought a 2013 pro rmk used, has teather, i traces the wires and they are plugged into the black 2 prong connector near steering post, but the teather does not turn the sled off. Sled runs but when you pull cord it will not shut off. I’m brand new to polaris so don’t have a lot of knowledge on what could be going on. Any help would be great

The teather is a normally open circuit that when pulled, it closes the internal electrical contact and connects to ground (chassis).

-likely have one of 2 issues: Little plunger not poping up enough or the internal electrical contact in the switch is NFG.

-you can test the sleds wiring by unplugging the teather completely. Start the sled, then touch the 2 black wires together and the sled should die (might need a little jumper. If it dies, replace your teather. If it doesn’t you probably have a broken wire, but most likely it’s the treather.

On a side note, if that thing ever freezes up and you can’t start the sled, just unplug it and drive it out.

Awesome thank you I’ll give that a check later today! Plunger does go up and down smoothly so maybe broken wire somewhere. Who knows on a used sled
