I have an 04 kingcat that I put an aftermarket monohead on from RKT with high compression domes....it really woke my sled up and it's a hard runnin beast. Something I wasn't aware of is that the head is a bit taller so you are getting less threads with the head bolts....if you do put a taller head on it is wise to put longer headbolts in. After cooking a cyilinder last season and putting everything back together I stripped out a hole before it registered on the torque wrench.
I believe that the heat generated from the cylinder may have caused the threads to weaken enough to not be able to torque them down at all. I maybe wrong but cant seem to find any other reason this would happen....just a heads up
