...................I think my sisters husband is working on it, or doing some thing up there north west of GP anyways.

Dan, you gotta do more reading or pay attention a little more. The Trans Mountain pipeline is no where near GP. Basically, it is from Edmonton west and south to Kamloops and further south to Burnaby. Not that it is bothersome but FYI and get things straight when you type them out!!

Haha you need to get out more ? Big lines going in around GP area but nothing to do with TMX.

The stretch through Jasper has been done for years . Loop line built in 2007 ish .

Im not in the pipeline business, so I dont pay much attention to the lines. If companies are building offices and shops, that is good for me though.

And we have been working on several pipeline related building in Calgary and Edmonton, GP, Fort st John. So I guess it has trickled down to me Haha

Like I said I never claimed to be a Pipeline expert.... This is one way you learn things. By having conversations with people that know things you dont....

Big Pipeline projects go through and most have no idea .
They just go about business and move along .
When the Alliance line went through to Chicago most never even knew .
Some big lines going in around GP and most don’t even pay attention.

Such a surplus of gas and oil with lots of wells chocked back for a few years now .
Will take a couple years IMO to see much improvement.
The retarded green movement “climate change “is killing big investors as well .

If I bought an Ev and really have no plans to when I could get and bmw 4 series or and S5 for the same price as a model 3, would think level of government price subsidy, performance, neat factor, and talking piece would be higher on list than environment.

You should test drive all 3. I seriously doubt you will be impressed with a 4 series or S5 after trying a model 3 performance.

Do explain. How I'm more socialist then yourself.

If your going to call me names please back it up?

Ok I'll bite on this one.. The governments responsibility is to act in the best interest of its tax payers and citizens of the country. Not give billions away in foreign aid and ridiculous gender equality BS programs or subsidize industries that are doomed to fail.

I agree with Lilduke, build roads, protect borders and be almost unseen. This media circus that occurs daily uncovering the gross misuse of public funds makes me nauseous knowing that we are the ones on the hook for this while our "leaders" of this country travel around on our dime trying to better their personal agenda.

Nothing against you SWAT at all. The governments money I view as my money..

Here is the thing......

It was your money until the government took it from you to do as they see fit. For the most part folks on this site can all agree that we are less then satisfied with how the current government chooses to spend what use to be our money. Especially as its supposed to go towards public fundings like healthcare and education, both of which are publicly subsidized by the taxpayer, ie you and me. Its funny how folks will lash out at certain social fundings but then demand others. Fact is we live in a democratically elected communist state. I don't like to see special interest groups recieve large somes of money either but if you think about it long term it usually represents a injection of funding into the economy. Much like a person on welfare that wins the lottery and is quickly broke in a few years. If the government pay to have these charging stations set up a ideal specific locations people with ev's will gravitate toward those locations, spend money in the store thus paying tax and the store pays tax plus the power companies get money for the charging that then they too pay tax on and the cycle continues all feeding back to the government.

This doesn't make me socialist its just actually the way it works. I am much conservative as any blue collar guy but I also see how the system works. If you don't like how your tax dollars are spent try not paying them for a couple years, see how that works out

Your acceptance of taxation without the ability to question or protest its spending and the belief that the government knows best demonstrates socialist thinking. Government does not create wealth or have income, it takes money from your pocket and redistributes it. Taking money from you and redistributing it to Canadian tire is an asinine use of your money. Canadian tire makes hundreds of millions in profit every year. If those charging stations were such a good idea, Cdn tire would install them themselves. They won’t, because they know that there is no profitable commercial reason to do so.

So so who decides which stores ? Ideal for who ? What if no one chooses to use them ? What if it’s actually an idea that doesn’t prove successful ? What if I don’t support that particular store but prefer another , why am I forced to support that one ?
Yes , your thinking is socialist !

I in no way favor taxation, as a business owner and a independent contractor taxes are a killer and like anyone else look for loopholes. You implying that I support taxes and that I believe in socialism. Fact is we as canadians do enjoy some level of socialism. Doctors visit, public education, toll free roads, although I do believe some some should be tolled, and many others. Neither you or I get to decide how and where the tax is spent. Fact is we have taxation without representation. Something our four fathers faught against. You call me a socialist, what are you doing to stand up
