I washed the wife's MXZ Renegade X and now the electric start rarely works. I was thinking just the switch was wet but it goes in and out of reverse fine, same switch.
Battery is new this year, has lots of juice when it works. Less than 500km on sled.
Any ideas on where to start?

Yup go to the starter solenoid. there is two large terminals and one small, jump from the positive battery terminal to the small and the starter should engage... if it does then it is in the switch and harness before the solenoid and if not it is after. you can also put a test light on the small wire that feeds the solenoid and push the start button to confirm where to look. If its a bad switch you can wiggle it with the test light on the wire ands if it starts to illuminate then you have found your problem. also check for power at the starter when you try to start it... power there... you need a starter... while holding the start button (lightly) tap on starter to see it it trys to turn over.

Give that a shot
