looking at getting a 08 3500 6.6.Im a little worried about the fact that i do alot of shot drives to and from work everyday.whats the best prevention of damage to the engine?

we have an 08 dirty max in the fleet its been an awesome truck we do alot of short trips with it been excellent we run 5 w 40 syn oil in it and the only prob with the truck is the tank is to small but going with a titan tank on this truck too so that fixes that prob

I would look at an Espar heater. It will keep your engine temp up and reduce the hard cold run ups for short drives in the morning.

Short dirves are hard on any engine, gas or diesel. Another idea would be to install a remote starter then each day when you get up, run the truck before you leave for work and home.

Does idling trally bring up the engine temp enough,or cause more condesation?

yup esbar heater work great have them in all my big trucks love walking out too 180 degrees temp but when they dont work there a piece of chit
