differential fluids.

hi, im new to this forum. im from slidell, la. ive got a 1996 polaris sportsman 500 and was wondering what front differential fluid should i use in my atv. any help or advise would be awesome

best to use the polaris fluid, (demand drive fluid) or you can use autotranny fluid for the hubs. looks like gl 80-90 for the gear case?

Welcome to Snow and Mud! Fernie is right - you will get a much better response if you post in the Mud Pit Chat. Better yet, to make the info easier for others to find in the future, you can post in the Polaris specific forum in the ATV section.

According to the 2002 owner's manual (looks like 1996-2003 have roughly the same manual), you will need GL5 80-90 Weight Gear Lube. Here's a link to that manual:
