difference between 2016 summit x and summit sp rear suspension

I would like to replace 2016 summit sp T3 174" rear shocks with fox. Is there any difference between the two models rear suspension or can I just shop for summit x shocks. Some sites, its the same part #, some its different.

Don't waste time and money spent on X shocks, you'll will find net to no gains. Raptor or Elka would be the way to go.

Thanks for the info but it doesn't answer my question. I do have fox float 3 evol r's on my 2013 turbo cat and they are great. The stock sp skidoo shocks are junk, the fox will be a great improvement.

Yes the x shocks will bolt right in.

Just make sure the rear shock is specified for a 174. The front skid shock is the same length for the the SP, X- 146-174 track lengths. The 174 rear shock is longer than the 163,154,146.

It sounds like he wants to know if the size of SP shock and X shock is different as the website for aftermarket shocks only list sleds that are x models.

That is correct. Doesnt matter if it is an X or SP
