coal lake?

i heard good things about coal lake and have never been there, i know you stage just south of the 623 intersection. Can anyone provide me more info on exactly where coal lake is itself? is the ride area north or south of highway 623? thanks

623 is Saunders Lake staging area. If you go further south to 616 and turn left and go about 2 miles there is a parking area right at the north end of Coal lake. Very busy area I bet there was over 200 vehicles in the lot or on the lake family day.
