clutch cleaning

Got a 99 skidoo 670 stock clutch that needs cleaning? Says on the clutch not to open or modify. Never take a clutch apart before, anything I need to know before I start? Any info helpfull welcome, thanks.

you will need tra button holders, clutch holding tool, and possibly a puller bolt if your sliding half is seized to the fixed flange.

if you want to replace the spring. which you should

you also need a clutch compressor

or a peice of redirod with 2 big washers will work.

Try to get some help with it. Its not hard but you need the tools and a bit of experience goes a long way. Replace the plastic buttons when your in there. Cheap and makes a world of difference, especially for that sled. Consider going to a comet clutch. Not that expensive and much better than the stock.
