Wondering if anyone had the closure boundaries in a format that I could load right in to my GPS? Would sure make it a lot easier to know where a person is in relation.

1. Download the *.KML file from the VARDA website for the area you are interested in:

Valemount Area Recreation Development Association - Snowmobiling

2. Goto the following "GPSies" website to convert the KML file to a GPX file:

GPSies.com - GPS, Tracks, Trails, Tours, Converter Convert

3. Save the converted file to your computer.

4. Either open the GPX file with Mapsource (for Garmin), or upload it to your GPS unit.

It worked for me. The only problem I had is when I uploaded it to my GPS (GPSMap 76Cx), it said "Track Truncated", which looks like it cut the track size down to about half. Within Mapsource, you can cut the track into smaller tracks (I used 3) and each one should upload to the GPS.

PS: I'm sure that you know that you could open the KML file in Google Earth to see the boundaries there. If you didn't, you do now! :)
