Went on forever? He climbed to the top. Ive pulled up to the top of a ridge like that a hundred times. Always been leary of getting too close to the cornices though. This video definitely reinforces that. Glad he is ok.

i know a guy, re-phrase a guy i did know, when he went up a pull to what was the ridge but was a bigger windblown ridge that didn't have much solid earth underneath and he dropped off the other side. wind blown ridges have a tendency to sometimes get bigger. Just sayin.
