It has some cool features... Too bad the battery isn't removable. 20 minutes use and 2 hr. charge would be a tough one. Also cold weather might make that even shorter.

Can you control the thing, or is it just a following thing?

I believe this one is follower. Uses a beacon to track and follow from a set distance and altitude.
There are lots out there you can control. Very sophisticated controllers that use GPS to remember. A buddy of mine has them and it hauls a Go Pro around that is linked to to cell phone. He can send it to my place and check if my garage door is open (which means I am home).

Makes for a long day carrying in your pack for 20 minutes at best of recording. However it's a start. Who knows maybe there could be a charging option that plugs into the sleds in a few years. Numerous companies have or are making these devices so it will be nice to see the available options and price range.

That's what I thought. If I'm going to fund the startup of a company, I want shares...not just a quad. And there are lots of other quads that do follow me, as well as manual control for $999.
