Can the tunnel be cut at all?

With the new expert hype it’s has me thinking, can we cut the tunnel at all? I know the tunnel has the cooler built into it but I’m not brave enough to find out if it goes all the way to the back. I’ve chopped multiple tunnels shorter with previous sleds but this ones obviously different.

Ya... no. Ride it the way it is. It's not worth the heartburn to hack up that tunnel. Resale will go down also.

I see there are kits for the Polaris to shorten tunnel with cooler. Wonder if they have one coming for doo?

I chopped the tunnel on an old sled and after I could drink an extra 1/2 beer an hour at the cabin!

So I put a kmod in you have to do more , Have you put your new suspention in yet.

Yup elka set up is all in. I have a few other small things to add yet but for the most part the 850 is ready to hit the snow.

My kmod just got here plus ken is doing a few extra's for me . Gotta try and keep up with you boys , did we want to do a early ride to Mc Bride early Dec before we go to revy. What type of suspention is it and did you get ahold of ryan or tim to see if they want to buy my skid

Im in need of a new track and was contemplating putting 175 track and rails under my 165. not sure I want all that track for tree riding though.

Was looking at the brp parts catalog and comparing pics/part #'s of the 154 and 165 radiator tunnel. Think that would b the way to go. Buy some new rivets and maybe drill some new holes for the rear section of the rad. trim the side section to match the top. Just might make a trip to the dealer and take some pics and measurements.

It would b an $800 touch if its dooable.

You will need a new rear arm and shock as well.


Also you will need the rear drop brackets off the 175” for the suspension. Also you need the end cap of the tunnel off the expert, it’s more flat with no lip so your track doesn’t catch

Good Morn Are not the the two plate that make up the rad glued . That would make welding a mess.

Can be done. Pain to do but it’s doable. Burn the paint pretty bad also. Not sure if the plastic around the taillight covers it or not. I didn’t do that part I just did the welding.
