So many AXYS aluminum arms have bent from simply catching rocks with the carbides. We felt that these new sleds should take small bumps at least as well as the Pro-Ride chassis without damage.

We have a the new "Arm Candy" brace kit that protects the weakest part of the arm where we see most failures.
We did not build this kit to stop damage from running directly into solid trees or rocks at high speed.

The first picture is very typical of a carbide catching a rock. The rear of the lower arm bends down from the mount.

The second picture is a tree incident which the front of the arm bends as it should.

The install pictures are not great as these prototypes have been on and off several times to make sure the final run was perfect.

This kit will be $199 and will be available Feb. 1st 2016. I will be out of town until then but if you want to pre-order just PM me.

ps I know my tie rod boot looks weird, it got ripped earlier in the season and that is just Goop glue for now.

Chris

Almost every bent arm was early season, catching rocks or other hard objects. If a small added brace which is bolt on/off vs welding/adding additional material to the arm like some companies have done will keep the arm from bending and not result in energy transfer to another part of the sled it is a cheaper and easy fix.

Unlike Doo when you load it onto the deck and the S module is never the same :)

So its one clamp per side on the rear of the lower Aarm? Seems to me the arm would still bent easy rite where the clamp ends now. But definitly curious if this works. Better than buyn aftermarket.

Wondering chris if you could design something to help the Doo guys out a bit. 2 buddies of mine this year have had this happen , a couple more i know of at the dealer for sure. These are pics of friends sleds, both same kinda problem , hitting a creek at wrong angle. But keep it light, can't afford more weight. LOL.

PS : But their A arms are fine . :)

They are much thicker outside the clamp.

I tried it, I googled dimwit, this came up with these examples, ;

dimwit
1: a person who is considerably cortically subilluminated, less smart than the average person.
2: someone with crazy ideas that could be considered dangerous
3: someone who doesn't know what he is doing
4: someone who does things just to gain acceptance from others, not because he is a real personality see prop

Ron: Man, I had to tell Urs not to lick the socket like 7 times.
Todd: Yeah he's a dimwit.

I tried getting a full set of A-arms today from a Poo dealer (spares for our riding group). 10-12 weeks they said. Glad I went aftermarket after bending the first one.

Just wondering if a guy should put steel skags on instead of carbide?????

Yes, it sure saves you ramps, trailers and decks too. We put a hard weld on our standard steel skags this time around so hopefully we get two seasons instead of one.

Got my Arm Candy installed last night and am I am impressed at the machining and fit of the support pieces. Glad to have some extra protection just in case... Thanks Chris!
