Putting a takeoff 3" on my sled wondering what guys have experienced with a 15 wide track on a xm . I know some are running that
Do they hold a line better than the 16 wide

Get ready for the negative remarks!
I think winter brew on here puts a 15 wide on his sleds and liks it.

Ya figure the cabin and trail riders will have lots to say
flex edge = sales gimmick
floatation - maybe
track weight - axys track way lighter
hopefully higher track speed with bigger lug
I'll try to weigh them

This has been tested a bunch by guys already, mostly state side. Better side hilling/carving/track speed... More snow build up inside edge of tunnel.

Never heard of it being done.. Would have its advantages.. From the Polaris' i ride with doesn't seem to hinder them at all..

The new Polaris 2.65" track looks really aggressive.. 3 bar X 2 bar and all very sharply angled.. Should dig.

I guess you'll never know for sure unless you try, I'm sure it'll work pretty good though.

Remember there are 2 types of sled riders, the kind that tell how good their sleds are and those that get on and prove it.

Tried a Polaris 15 wide on my 2008 XP in 2009 and no negative effects. Worked better then the stock doo track back then .
Go for it.

Save yourself time and cash by buyin a t-3 driveshaft, 3 pitch 7 tooth drives on the shaft already for just over half of the price of avid drivers.

Curious, is the T3 driveshaft lighter than the 13-14 XM 2.86" driveshaft? I thought I remember hearing that they lightened them up?

I couldn't see any difference with the shaft. It is lighter but only because of the smaller drivers.
