Avi-vest

Is there any feedback from avi-vest owners? Good, Bad? I like the idea because you do not have to where your pack but they are making very light 5L packs now from ABS for that reason. Thanks in advance for any feedback

They are comfy. You also have plenty of storage.They weigh about the same as a pack but the weight is displaced better than just two shoulder straps. I find i have less fatigue in my shoulders and posture is better than with a pack. Price wise they are cheaper than abs and pulse packs. You can fill the bottles at scuba shops like the snowpulse cartridge with compressed air or at any vest retailer.

con's are that i have found.... Much like the pack you have to take it off to get access to your safety gear but it is easier than a pack to locate your stuff. The crotch strap is a bit tight, this is so the vest won't slide up over your head. tekvest doesn't fit under avivest very well. There is a armour version available.
