The ants are coming back, last year somebody suggested a product that worked.

Search didn't help, does somebody remember the chemical.

This works wicked for me. take three cups of water one cup of borax slow boil the two together till the borax melts. add one cup white sugar one cup maple syrup to the mix put in old milk jug. put in sun till you wanna use. put in sour cream containers with access holes for the deck or house or garden. for ant hills just pour into the holes in the ant hill. usually take two or three applications and they are gone.. Tried all the over the counter products, even some given to me from an exterminator friend, none work even close to as good.

The ant baits work to, but if you are impatient they do not ...seem...to work. If you buy the drops just put little drops down all over not large puddles. It takes time.

Peavy mart sells it too. Just picked some up to kill worms in my trees this year.

Malathion stinks the place up. Borax and icing sugar 50/50 and run it through a flour sifter a couple times to mix well. Works like a hot damn and won't kill everything else around it that might actually do the world a little bit of good.

Malathion at Canadian tire (250ml) is almost twice the price of Peavy Mart ($15 /500ml this week).

I thought I had killed most of them last year but I think I just pissed them off. Got way more ants than ever this year.
