Alternative license plate mount for Renegade?

Sometime during a ride last fall, the license plate on my gade broke off and was lost. The actual brackets that hold the plate to the back of the machine also broke, so I see no way of attaching a new plate. Has anyone with a gade found an alternative method of attaching a plate to their machine?

I bought mine used and the plate holder was broken, so I zip tied it to the metal holding the battery. See the pic. It hasn't failed me all year.

Great idea, and I'll keep it in mind next time I break the brackets! I ended up buying a new rear case with the mounts for 25 bucks.
