Alaskas slow snow winter...

well, its almost Halloween and there is no snow anywhere in Alaska. Im three miles north of Prudhoe bay Alaska and there isn't much snow up here. and the ice is just starting to freeze. I need to know who gets the first dump of snow and whats ridable first! we will drive anywhere to go riding... I love Petersville, Cantwell, Denali Highway, Summit, Paxon, whoever gets it first! Ill meet ya there

What camp are ya at? I was up there a few months ago, first time I've got to see the place in summer. That's about the flattest piece of country I've ever seen.

When do you usually have enough snow to ride? I've read that this is going to be an El Nino winter, low precipitation and milder than usual. We don't have any here either, but I'd have thought you'd have some up there by now.
