My recolection of that era is that Crankshop pipes were the only ones that made any hp gains to talk about. Dynoed several manufacturers that year and all lost hp except for the Crankshops and if I recall it was 5-6 hp and up at 8500rpm

I had crank shop twins on my Mod 670, the twin stingers were LOUD. I had Neil @ NPP make me a 2 into 1 can. This setup was the best out of anything else I ever had. Motor ran crisp and strong.

The CN shack along the tracks by Allen creek.
Been running these crank shop pipes on my 96 summit 670 for a long time now. Love the loudness they puke out. Lol this thing is a blast in the ditches. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357126424.099075.jpg

My little nephew loves the sound too. Ha

Crankshop or stock pipe and a can. Best options out there.i ran a set of gagne on my 99 and they were loud font know if I lost any power but sure didn't make any more power was different as well kinda pull easy all the way didn't have the snappy power of the stock pipe bottom end felt kinda mushy if that makes sense could have been clutching though.
IMO stick with the sticker for the best of both worlds I went back to the stock for that reason
