Hi guys,
I have a 98 Powder Special 600 EFI with Reverse. I had the gearing stop working and removed the chain case cover to find the lower gear assembly was not attached to the Track Drive Shaft. On closer inspection I noticed that the retaining ring is threaded onto the shaft, not bolted on as the repair manual shows. I put some lock tight in the retaining threads and tightened it up as much as I could. 200km later the same thing has happened again.
It looks like it would be tough to drill and pin it.
Has anyone found a solution for this issue?
Thanks
M
