I have problems with the starter having a lack of power. I replaced the starter solenoid and still does not deliver power to the starter. I tested the starter and battery and are good. All i get is a clicking at the solenoid. Once in a while the starter will turn over but hardly turns the engine over. Could it be the power cable to the starter? Any help would be appreciated. It seems this is a popular problem but no answers. Thanks

check all conections from the battery to the solenoid and to the starter and the condition of the wire. and make sure all the ground connections are clean. if that doesnt get any results, bench test the starter and see how it performs. it could be the starter, never know.

When you turn it over does it just go "click" once or repeatedly. If its just once then your starter is toast, most likely brushes are worn out. If its numerous clicking then its a voltage problem. Hope that helps. Let us know how you make out.
