900 at 7600 rpm?

I have an all stock 05 900 with 151" track.
The engine tops out at 7600 rpm. Before this sled I had a 99 700 rmk and it would pull 8000 rpm. Does the 900 rev lower because of the size of the engine or is something wrong? It runs great and has lots of power.

how accurate is your tach? might be hitting higher than it says.

the 900's dont rev high thats all they rev at, polaris book states 7400+/- 200rpm
