Hey everyone so I have a had several pro Rmk’s over the years. 13,15,16,and now a 18. I am looking to upgrade again this year. I always buy slightly used so I am looking at a 19,20 850. I have heard lots of rumours about the 850 engine having bearing issues? Wondering if this only affected some sleds and what year they updated and fixed the issue? Should I avoid the 850 and look for a boosted 800? Wanting some more power this year

I was helping my buddy look for a new/used sled a month or so ago, mostly kijiji but it seemed like almost every other 850 sled had a new motor in it, polaris and skidoo, most of them warranty installs by dealers. That alone scared him off of the 850's

If it was me buy the 20. I have a 19 and I was one of the lucky ones that did not blow up. I have a friend and same thing but there were many that did grenade. In the motor replacements and in 20 they fixed the issue.

I would stay away from the 19s. My buddie had one and took the motor out twice. It did rip when it was running, but it had some issues.

I have a 19' 850. Put 800km on it with no engine mods, since then i've been running on Silber boost with 5lbs spring. Ran it on the 7lbs spring when in Wyoming. Sled currently has 1850km's on it and its been solid. Much better than my 800 Axys was.

If you are worried just ask your dealer about adding a couple years of aftermarket warranty. I did this in the past and it was resonable. They said they can add it anytime before the factory warranty is gone.
