750 Kingquad

I have a 09 kingquad. Ive heard that these machines have an issue of sometimes going into a Safe Mode which restricts your speed and power. My question is has anybody have this happen and how do you fix it without taking it to a dealer and get reset.

usualy the safe mode on a kq is when the rad gets pluged full of mud (it dosent even have to get hot, it knows the rad is full), just clean the rad and it resets itself . if you put a light behind the rad you should be able to see right through it

Thanks for the input. Never heard of a quad having this feature, but seems like a good feature to have. Prevents overheating and cooking the engine.
