Rode chappel today.

Poor vis for most of the day.
Snowing hard.
Snowed an extra foot at least during 4hrs late morn/afternoon

Lots of holes are filled but we still managed to find some remaining ones.

Trail up was a single track highway.
Groomer headed up as we came down in the dark.

Managed to lose a green mtn addiction has can up by the lake.

A few more pics. Also any one who is riding after this heavy snowfall please be sure to check out the avalanche conditions daily before you ride. This will most definitely increase the avalanche risk.
Glad Curtis from Varda was able to find the lost sledder. Talked to the sledder at the parking lot. Recommend having radios for rider communication. He was a new rider and this was his first time in the mountains.

In Valemount for our annual New Years party!! Up late to Allen with the kids but they had a great time!!! Anywhere from pounded around cabin to 3ft+ around tree lines! Didn’t go far, but made some lines and had fun!!

Happy New year from the VARDA Crew. The holiday riding has been all time this week with fresh and deep snow a plenty. The riding remains exceptional going into the new year.

We are experiencing an issue with the groomer at Clemina. It broke down last night on the way down from grooming. We apologize.


The repair team is out trying to repair it was we speak. We will update our Facebook page and Website as soon as we know, but trail passes will only be required if the trail has been groomed.


If there is an attendant in the booth in the morning the trail has been groomed.

Thank you Varda and Summit River Lodge for 5 fantastic days. We had fresh snow every day and great weather. We left a lot of untracked snow at Clemina yesterday and the forecast is for a bunch more!

They are still a little low on snow. Tapped a couple rocks at Morning Glory .Luckily never did any damage but you sill gotta be careful.

Happy New year from the VARDA Crew.

A winter storm warning is in affect for the Valemount area over most of this week. The forecasts are calling for upwards of 40cms of new snow to fall by the weekend and riding conditions are just going to keep getting better!


We are experiencing an issue with the groomer at Clemina. The repair team has been out trying to repair it, but it looks like we will need to tow it down with another groomer. This will happen on Friday, Jan 4th and we will then groom with the other machine. Clemina WILL NOT be groomed until the evening of Jan 4.

Sorry for the inconvenience......but the snow is epic!

That sucks about the groomer. We stopped to offer moral support the other day,usually that is enough.

After spending almost 3 weeks at the little house here it’s been a blast!

Rode Allen yesterday, snowed all day and very windy. Made it back to Super bowl, lots of tracks but still found some good lines. Got to the truck and it was a blizzard. Trail was awesome.

[FONT=&quot]Chappell and Allan freshened up tonight and all lots are being plowed as we speak. We are trying to get Clemina groomed for Saturday morning.[/FONT]
