We rode Chappel today.. Was an Epic day, most of the day we were playing in 3-5' of of snow. Some great stucks. still snowing like crazy here.

We finally un-trapped and headed to Clemina. Great snow for our day, the clouds opened up on occasion. And thanks for curtis at varda for letting us invade his mountain. 18-24" inches in the main areas and lots more in the bushes. The cut blocks were a hoot.

Well finally going to try this mountain thing out again. The boy and I are meeting up with a couple others for a couple days Friday and Saturday. Just curious if it has warmed up a lot uptop or if anyone knows if we may still find some fresh snow? Also what's the story on Oasis. Anyone been in there lately may take a crack at it Friday.

Reports of great riding are still coming in and we have upwards of 20cms of new snow forecasted to fall by Saturday. This weather should make for a great customer appreciation day up at Allen Creek (see below for details). We have had amazing trail quality this year and as we are getting into spring and dealing with lower valley rain and above zero temps, please remember that the same effort goes in every time, and the weather is the key factor. For now, the access trails are in amazing shape and we are looking forward to a normal length grooming season this year if the winter weather keeps up.
Spring is a very difficult time of year to predict snow levels. This time of year, you really never know when its going to hammer down and very often we get surprised with some amazing snowfalls up in the mountains that were not in the forecast, so roll the dice and get out for a ride! Customer Appreciation Day Saturday March 25[SUP]th[/SUP] @ Allen Creek Cabin
Alpine Country Rentals and VARDA will be once again hosting our Customer Appreciation day on Saturday March 25[SUP]th[/SUP] at Allen Creek. The Alpine Country staff will be serving up a BBQ lunch at the cabin. Trail passes will be waived at Allen Creek and we will be taking donations for EASTER SEALS KIDS. Hope to see you there.
On a less cool note....someone left a VERY nasty note for us in the collection shack window this morning. We are totally open to criticism and suggestions but please do it with some compassion. Everyone at VARDA works their hardest to ensure a good experience for our users. Thankfully we now know of an issue with the Allen Creek stove pipe, but this was a pretty harsh way to tell us.......if you see any maintenance needs or hazards that need addressing, please contact use by phone or email and we will tend to it as soon as we can.
