2013 m8 fuel line issue

I got a 13 m8 pro climb and I'm just posting to see if anyone has had this issue with fuel line coming off the tank to the fuel pump, I was havin a hell of time getting it started so got someone to look at it and they found that the fuel line had basically turned into a gummy substance and was dissinigrating getting into fuel pump , does anyone know what would cause this ? Bad fuel? Faulty hose ? TIA

My guess is ethanol fuel. Make sure you use non-ethanol fuel and throw some fuel stabalizer in for the summer months.
