Hey Guys

Now that our snowcheck is over we thought we would start a new thread. We have attached a couple photo's as the new decks start to roll of the assembly line.

After almost a year of designing, testing, programming, bending, shearing, machining, welding, powder coating and assembling, our decks are start to come of the production line and we must say we are very excited about them.

Some of the big changes for this season are:

Custom extrusions which allow you to adjust your legs to any position along the underside of the deck, also this allows you to mount anything you would like to the underside of the deck. We also have a center extrusion which allows you to position your center super clamp tie point anywhere, long with allowing you to add any amount of tie points you would like.

We have kept our composite plastic decking, and have made a custom extrusion for our slide out sides that eliminates any surface decking screws.

We now have intergrated rear signal/run lights for safety.

We have new LED lights all the way around with two new LED under deck lights.

All of our slide outs have internal machine bushings, so there is no metal to metal contact.

All of our decks come powder coated from the factory.

Are frames are completely new with all of our cross members being drilled, so there is no more but welding.

The overall fit and finished is unsurpassed by any other deck on the market hands down.

And will all these new features we did not increase are price at all!

$3495.00 still gets you the best deck on the market.

Here is a custom colored deck we did specifically for a customer. Otherwise all of our decks are finished in a textured black powder this year.

Hey Guys

Well here it is all finished and ready to ship. We will be posting more photo's this weekend of the black decks, as our customers start taking delivery. We thought we would post a couple photo's of the white deck that we had custom powder coated for a customer who insisted on white.

When your looking at the photo's take not of a couple things:

- there are no deck screws on top of the decking surface
- integrated rear LED lights which are both running and turn signal
- dual under deck LED lights
- plastic slides on our ramp holders
- front upper tube slides into the headache rack giving it a finished look
- custom center extrusion which allows you to put in a winch point, or tie point all along the length of the deck
- custom machined Full Lotus logo
- overall under deck construction

We have taken deck building to the next level with our fit an finish, all mandrel bent tubing, CNC machined parts, powder coated finish, and just extremely clean fit and finish.

We have not overlooked any details, right down to the machined Full Lotus logo.

All of this for $3495.00, and they are selling very quickly so don't miss out on them.

Can I ask what brand the LED signals are? I've been looking to add some to my boat trailer.

So how do you bolt them down or is it turnbuckle only? and how does that ramp not pop off that bar on the back.

You have the option to turnbuckle it with our moveable tie points, you can also use U bolts to bolt it to your truck bed, or you can purchase our bolt in kit, which bolts in with 4 1/2" bolts in the 4 corners of your truck bed. So there are several options for customers to secure the deck to their truck.

The weight of the ramp keeps it from popping off the bar

Do you have a retailer that the buy the LEDs from? I've been looking for those exact ones but can't find anyone on the net selling them. A brand name or retailer would help me greatly.

Also, is there a locking system for your ramp when loading?

We buy factory direct and have to buy a large quantity of them they won't sell a couple. The weight of the ramps keep them in place no locking system required.

Hey Guys

We have been getting calls regarding how our decks ship out to customers so we thought we would post details.

Yes we can ship your new deck to you anywhere in the world, last year we sent several to Sweden, Norway, and of course all across North America.

We you receive one of our decks (after you unwrap it) it will look exactly like the picture. You simply rotate the headache rack into the upright position and secure it with the supplied bolts and it's ready for use. There no assembly of parts, no wiring, nothing.

Those pointy ends on the side plates of the extension look like a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone walks into them, lol

Im with cart on that, looks dangerous. Is there no way to secure the ramp down, I know that my marathon ramp would have come off a few times while loading on uneven terrain if it wasnt for the locks

Exactly, doesnt matter how heavy the ramp is, just hit it the right way and it will pop off, the ground you load on isnt always flat and level, i'm glad my marathon ramp has locks on more then one occasion. But if you guys could make an extension that would mirror the old marathon one for the guys with marathon decks, you'd be sitting on gold mine.

Hey Guys
Thanks for brining up these two points its a good time to give people a "heads up" on them.
When you have anything hanging out the back of your truck, wether it is a sled deck, a snowmobile with the track sticking out, a ladder or lengths of 2x4's you need to be cautious around them. When putting something in the back of a truck, we as owners of the truck need to keep in mind that we have something in the back of the truck and park accordingly. For example, you don't want to back in over a busy sidewalk, no different then not wanting to do that with a hitch hanging out the back of the truck. So with a bit of thought in parking you can help people who aren't aware of the objects hanging out the back of the truck, stay safe.

When we designed our ramps we looked at several factors and of course the hook was one of the big ones. We tested several different designs, round hooks, shallower depth hooks, hooks with retaining mechanisms, also sorts of variations. We found the best option to be a deeper hook depth with a larger opening. This allows the loading bar to sit up nice and deep in the hook, so if there is a bit of uneven ground you still have lots of depth left in the hook. With having a larger hook opening it actually allows the ramp to move slightly forward or backward on the loading bar. What this does is put some play in the ramp so when you initially contact it with the ski's it has some movement so instead of popping off the loading bar it moves slightly ahead or back, once you have any weight on the ramp, the loading bar sits up deep and securely in the hook. We actually found having a locking mechanism at the top of the ramp caused more issues. On uneven ground, locking the top of the ramp in at both hook points can actually bring the lower portion of the ramp up into the air. This can potentially cause the ski or a skag to catch on the lower portion of the ramp and stop the sled in a hurry. That is exactly what we did not want our ramp to do. Being from the aircraft industry, safety is of the highest importance to us and that is one of the major reasons why we integrated rear running/brake/turn signals into our decks this year, it not only looks great for the deck owner, but it adds a large element of safety for the genreal public.
