Hey Guys

We are getting a lot of interest in these units and one of the main questions we get is why is it designed to have to remove the tailgate. There are 2 main reasons that we have designed the unit to be installed without the tailgate:

1. Your tailgate of your truck is not designed to continually take the weight of a machine up and down, and also when on bumpy trails and back roads.

2. If you keep your tailgate down while hauling on the salt and sanded roads you will sandblast your tailgates finish.

So by using the hitch as the mounting point and removing the tailgate you get a strong mounting point and do not damage your tailgates paint.
