2010 Summit 800 P-tek Engine

Hi all. I just bought a 2010 summit 800 P-tek with 1300 kms on it, I was wondering when I should do the top end or up grade the reeds? What are guys getting for miles on the top end before it pops? I'd like to freshin it up before it goes and causes more damage. Any tips for getting more life out of it? Also any tips on Handling mods, it doesn't seem to handle quite the way I'd like it too. Thanks, Matt

I have a 2009 800 P-tek and took it to Mad Motorsports and Dean does a bunch of stuff to those xps to liven them up, i havent got it back yet but cant wait to get home and try it out. So its worth getting ahold of him.

4000kms seems like a lot on an 800 before a rebuild? I was thinking 1500-2000kms

Not on a 2010. If it's been taken care of with good oil and proper warm up. I did mine at 5000 and she now has almost 9000 on it. Pistons still looked new even at 5000. But hey whatever you feel comfortable with but IMHO that's way to early
