I want to see the 162-165” sleds with 3” and electric start, fuel, oil, keys in kind of weights. The way you leave from your Platty + 40’ Enclosed trailers........ with your Tethers unhooked.

But for Polaris it adds a chain case, so it’s not moot there. lol

It’s not just the chain case, it’s the heavier drive shaft on the Polaris 3” as well. I put a belt drive on my 163 3” and it was a 2lb difference, granted that was an aftermarket kit vs the stock OEM belt drive. You could argue the non ported snow flap and the non carbon rear bumper is ounces heavier as well lol. It’s around 13-15lbs difference for the 163 2.6 vs 163 3” depending on snowcheck options.

I am confident the RMK is still lighter in a 163 3” but it will not be as large of a gap.

This is going to be fun.

That vid showed not much has changed from previous years, the sleds got a bit lighter and the HP increased.

The weight of the Polaris should not be a shock, the chassis as always been that light, even the on the mtn weight comparisons showed the Polaris lighter, and the cat and skidoo within 10 lbs of each other.
I predict the on the hill weight test will show the alpha closer to polaris, I hope someone does that test this winter.

IMO the level of the playing field is now getting very close, it has been for years.
