08, outlander, not charging

hello,
i have a 2008 can am outlander, put a new battery, check the fuses, " front and back"

if the bike is running and i take the battery out. i bike shuts off. i am tring to figure out why it isnt charging.

any one have any ides?

Like most atv's it could be a number of things.

power to rectifier/regulator
recifier/regulator burnt
bad rectifier ground
magneto pooched

If your machine is an EFI,.. ya... I don't recommend pulling the battery while it's running unless you wanna buy a $500 ecu. I guess this can apply to most anything with a CDI or ECU,.. I know on rhino's, boosting a dead battery without letting the battery charge first has a tendency to fry the digital dash

Had the same problem with mine and after trouble shooting for a while it was the stator. There is a place in Quebec that sells after market stator's for half of OEM. RMSTATOR.Com try them they where good to me.
