08/09 sportsman 400ho vs kodiak 450

just wondering which would be the one to buy for work and trail riding

definately the kodiak my son rides a sportsman 400 same machine but smaller engine and we have found that the rear suspension is rather poorly designed ( thinchannel iron rather than an upper a arm the other downfall with the polaris is no low range in these models) where as the kodiak is a stout machine and features low range we have rebuilt the rear susp on the polaris a few times which and never touched the yamaha

The Kodiak, easily. I wouldn't ride a Polaris if it was given to me for free.:d
