06 Ram 5.9 4 speed auto - good, bad or ugly?

Had a 04 duramax go down on me this last weekend.
$140 tow bill with a deck truck

Cost of each injector is $500
Fuel injection control module is $2000

Not to mention a ruined weekend.

It's a toss up. Sure they pull awesome and can't compare to my 6.0L. But when she needs repairs ..lookout.
Just lucky that the problem was a easy fix for now. But I just about chit myself when I got prices on parts.

Just hope that you never have to price out a stock rebuild. You'll be close to $10k before labour.

The downside to the gaser is the torque loss. Pulling a trailer or deck with sleds on it certainly is noticeably different with a gaser vs diesel.

Maybe have to see about a supercharged 6.0 ltr

Did some work to a vortex max 6.2 with a super charger.

Had the pull of a d.s.l for sure.

Ya and that's a bare engine ( no pump , turbo ect. ). Just a long block with injectors. 10000 grand.

The 6.2 supercharged is a nice motor. Not as many options for the 6.0 in the HD chassis.

I was only joking anyways, that would be a pig under load.
