Does anyone know if it is possible to put a pipe from an 06 900 onto an 05 900?
What I'm thinking about is either running a CPI or an SLP pipe built for an 06 900 on my 05 900. I have a line on a used CPI pipe for a good deal but I want to make sure that I won't be hurting the engine in any way... leaning it out, etc...
Also, how about if I went with an 06 SLP pipe? Would I need to run the 05 SLP map, or the 06 map? The nice thing about the CPI pipes is they don't require a reflash of the ECU like the SLP pipes do, so it would be a lot cheaper for the pipe itself and essentially a 'bolt on' type thing for a couple easy lbs of weight loss and maybe a couple HP also:d
The stock pipes on my 05 900 and my buddies 06 900 appear to be virtually identical in the way they are bent, so short of trying it on, I think it might just work as far as actual fitment, tho I could be wrong.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
