I am looking at buying an '04 Rev 800. The owner says that the top & bottom end have been completely rebuilt, geared down, new shocks, and the back has also been rebuilt. I can't remember how many miles are on it, but I am thinking it is around 5000.

I am not mechanically inclined and this will be my first sled. Can anybody tell me what this machine should be worth and what kind of problems I should be looking for?

The owner has receipts for the work from a reputable mechanic.

Thanks!

if the motor has been completly rebuilt it will be a great sled. I would say it should be in the $4000-5000 range.

I would agree and if it's absolutely clean i would say maybe even in upwards of $5500. I love mine.

I have that same sled. The 800 HO Highmark Extreme with the 159" track and I love it. I bought mine about 1.5 years ago with 1200km on it and completely stock except for a can. Mint condition, I paid $5000 for it. Just last week I had my mechanic check it out to see if I should do the top end before this season starts now that I have 3500kms on it and he thinks I should be good for awhile yet. If all that work has actually been done I'd also say around $5000 give or take a couple hundred. Good luck with it. I'm bettin you'll really like it.

I would say closer to $4000 considering the miles on it. I bought my '04 last year with 1100miles on it and in mint shape for just over $5000.

i would say 5000 would be a pretty reasonable price, as long as the rest is in good shape you'll have years of good riding on that machine. paid close to that for my 06 a couple of months ago. definitely a good choice.

I'll bet you're gonna like it...I love mine. Steers a bit heavy but putting on the Pilot skis made a difference. If yours has the stock skis consider upgrading, it helps. Enjoy!

Love my 04, a set of double ring pistons , adjustable pins for the primary, better board, pilots on the front, great sled, very fun to ride. If he has records of the work done and the rest of the sled is clean...$4k to $5k Dino
