I was just at my Arctic Cat dealer yesterday afternoon and they hadn't yet received the e-mail regarding the settlement. They thought they were headed into a very bleak winter. Within 10 minutes of leaving, they gave me a call saying they had just received the e-mail and were ecstatic about the news. This is wonderful news for the dealers as well as all CAT fans!

I wasn't being a d!ck I was being serious. Guys are searching all over western Canada to find leftover Polaris and Skidoo snowchecks, and here we are in this thread, you can now actually buy a new Arctic Cat sled for the 20-21 season and it's got less than 10 replies.
Arctic Cat better have something big for model year 2022, customers want the newest and greatest not a decade old chassis with a monorail. The sport simply can't afford the loss of another manufacturer.

In 20 years of riding I’ve had two early 2000’s Polaris, four M series Cats and most recently a 2017 M8000. All of my riding friends have had Polaris for the last 15-20 years and while I like riding their Pull Ur Asses I’m pretty sure my next sled will again be a Cat because they work and they’re tough.

I’m not a cat fan nor will I ever own one. But hopefully they can stay alive as competition is good for the market, and

I was just going to comment on that. Competition is healthy. It keeps all manufacturers in check both financially and in their technical advancements.

So because everybody doesnt jump and reply within 12 hours to a thread on a small forum cat is in trouble????????? I really dont think thats any indication lol. I found out hours before the snow n mud thread, is it cool? Sure, im not buying until next year, makes no difference to me so why reply? So arguments with cat haters can ensue? I got better things to do

Would be very hard for an old guy to buy Polaris or Skidoo because of the failures in the 2000 and up sleds. Polaris and Skidoo engine failures were incredible.

I’m not brand loyal, owned them all. Wife rides a Pro with a 660 kit cause she wasn’t confident in the 800 Poo. We rode summits from 97-2007, the cost of ownership was high on those sleds excluding the old 670x’s. I’ve been on Cat since 2007, and they’ve never let me down. Yes, they are heavier, but after replacing an S module in my buddies Xm and seeing how much damage was done For a relatively minor get-off, Doo can keep the new stuff too. Don’t get me wrong, they all have their ups and downs, but assuming everything is junk other then what you ride is simply ignorant...

The proof is in the pudding. I have never been anywhere in the last 5 years where cats outnumbered polaris or skidoo mountain sleds. This thread is just another proof of that point. Things like the Yamaha partnership, or Textron buyout sure don't signal good things either. A competitive manufacturer doesn't need to do those things. I'm sure if someone could dig up sales data it would show the same.
