Found a few articles about sledding near Creston, sounds like Salmo Creston Pass is the most likely to have good snow. Going to be in the area for a week from the 10th on visiting parents and bringing the sled so want to get out. Anyone in the area that would be willing to let me tag along? Can be on the weekend, or the during the week, I am open. Riding for 4 years in the Whistler area, reasonably competent so I am not constantly getting stuck, although I spend more time skiing than sledding. plenty of backcountry experience and have all the gear.

Rode there in the early 90's and loved the area's. Locals took us across the line for a beer and a burger. Long before drones were flying the border looking for illegal crossings. Definitely quieter riding back there with minimal sled activity.

Let me know how the riding is. They have a snowmobile club, and trailhead maps. My folks also live there and have always wanted to bring down the sled. I'd join ya that weekend but already set on Blue.

Unreal riding here. Definitely tighter than other areas though. Quite a bit of tight tree riding to get to a bunch of areas. Not as much big open stuff. Still a lot of fun to be had though. And snow is amazing right now. Can be a little tough to get hooked up with locals here though. Some people are great for letting you tag along, some not so much. I would stop in at Kootenay Speed Shop when you get into town. They have a pretty good pulse on who is riding and when. Im sure Kevan and Trish could hook you up with someone. I would offer but Im stuck at home with 3 kids now while my wife goes to school.
