I should go post over in the cat exhaust spring thread
that the springs are loose because 96% of cat riders are fags, and they suck at riding.

that's a typical theatherair post in the skidoo section
Don't you ride with a few cats?

Chuk.....you should look at your own clutch options according to the CATastrophe thread. Lol!

That was swift......lol
And on a serious note I don't think Doo has belt issues any more but it is nice to know that maybe there are options to a $225 spare.

You bet that was swift... I don't even run a spare. That's how well I know my sled is dialed to perfection.

No one group should not be teased, even the Polaris guys. It makes for friendly competition and after a good day of riding we are all still friends. Take your best stab. Life is much too serious already.

Hey guys,

I couldn't find anything when i searched the forum, but is anyone running aftermarket belt options on these sleds? I have about 1800 KM on the original belt so I am going to replace it but I was wondering if any aftermarket options are available and if so what are people recommending? I mostly ride trees but I am not scared to point and shoot either and hold it wide open for extended periods of time... I guess i was one of the lucky guys that has not had a single issue with his 850.

Let me know . Thanks !!

Dayco xtx belt has served good good in the past on Na and turbo stuff. Little heavier than stock. They also come a little wider which help the upshift, becomes slightly more aggressive. As well slightly longer service life.

Gates carbon belts work well too. A little softer than normal so under heavy duty conditions they get a little soft. Never had a issue with the blowing just wear a little quicker than normal. For the most part they give a great hole shot, good for boondocking. Typically there the same weight or slightly lighter than factory.

ultimax, never had any luck with these.

Ran an Ultimax XS from Specialty on my 2018, made it around 1800km before I pulled a cord. Similar life to the factory Doo belts in my experience.
