I practically shed tears of joy to see both 3" tracks available. My Polaris buddies will be crying tears of shame...
I've ridden both tracks on XP's extensively. I love the 163 on the XP just for the fun factor as the 174 seems a bit locked into the track it makes. 174 is super-stable...
Was bored so I decided to watch some sledding footage from the last few years. Then got the itch to edit it together a bit. Man did we have some fun!!! There is some vintage stuff until 3:00 if you want to skip ahead. We do a little friendly PRO-bashing, but all in good fun!
I've been having the pre-season sledding jitters for 2 weeks now. So I uploaded another video - old enough to be shot on film but new enough that many of us will remember it. It is the sequel to the video I posted last season. Get out your popcorn, it's 80 minutes long! Enjoy...
We have been seeing an abnormally high rate of injector failures at our shop for the summer. Some failures involve poor quality fuel, but most of the failures have been on customer rigs that are very well maintained, and these guys regularly use fuel conditioner.
Fuel conditioner has...
Just gauging if there would be any interest in a riding clinic with Cory Micku. More curiosity than anything, I understand it's quite the paperwork to get set up to operate.
So riding Dec 8th on Boulder with my buds, and the old 800 ZX Highmark (not stock). The old sled still hauls the mail and it is nothing but an annoyance to them:
R. Micku: "I got Bikeman stage 1 kit, head, belt drive, Easy-Ride skid and 174x3 tracks. I lay down a wicked line, and that STUPID...
Inspired by Chris Browns deep deep and more deep posts which I could use more of (hint hint) I thought we should start a stuck/stuckfest photo thread to remind us of the steep and deep.
Here's a start:
So I'm sorting through a bunch of sledding media on my Mac, still getting amped up for the season. I really should be out working on my sleds though...
Many of you have seen these photos already. I still have fun looking at them, so I put them together in a slideshow set to music from that...
Pro's: Lot's of variety, flatlander freeride, oval, ice drags, grass drags, mountain freeride, hillclimb, watercross, vintage (okay... it's all vintage!)
Con's: Stupid sound effects
Still fun to watch and piece of history. Even has some not bad cinematography too. Get out your popcorn...
After watching Slednecks 15 a (few) times, watching every sledding trailer on YouTube, watching videos from last year, and reading Snow Angel's articles, now I'm digging through the old photos. Come on SNOW!!!

This may be completely useless information to anyone who doesn't really care about the old sleds... but it's a good brain exercise for me to understand chassis dynamics.
We've been trying to define some of the more subtle effects of the dramatic change in rider position, in the context of...
So, I'm posting this tucked away a little just because I don't want to inflame all the masses, LOL! I've been kickin' alot of Pro RMK's around this winter with my old 2002 ZX, and I mean kickin' them hard. Like no contest. Buddy of mine is really trying hard to get his 2012 Pro RMK 155 modded...
So I tried to upload all these photos to my album here on S&M, kindof overloaded the system somehow. So I have uploaded them to a private link on a web album.
Here is the link:
Some of you have seen a small sampling of these photos on another thread. There is much more action: highmarking...
I finally got around to scanning some older sledding photos. A few shots of my mom and dad from Valemount, BC, starting with the winter of 1977. He was sledding in the mountains prior than that, just happened to take a Kodak 110 camera with him this time. I have photos of this vintage from...
Okay, so they finally gave us some real coffee cup sizes. I hated translating between McDonalds mediums and Timmies large's. But please please please give us some real lids that don't leak coffee all over my truck!!!!!!!
