I trailer my bikes down to Laughlin Nevada. This time of year it can be a little cool out in the desert on Route 66. The winds can be blowing pretty good. I prefer to do it in Sept when it is above 40. The wife and I will be down there in a couple of months.
I have insured and registered my sleds for well over 30 years. It is less than the cost of a belt. I was only checked once, at the Alberta Beach snow drags when I entered. That was a good day. I won my class.
My brother and I ride this area a fair bit. We have stopped and talked to the skiiers on the pipeline. I can see their point about not using the trail just south of the ski hill that goes up to the powerline. I can't remember what it is called. We head down to the Bijoux trail and go up there.
My high priced policy expired and I dropped it. Went with Aviva. 370 for PL/PD on the Harley, 350 for a newly purchased Bandit 1200. My auto and truck rates also a lot lower.
