Legally, You have to have a functioning headlight and taillight attached to your bike at all times. Their reasoning, if you have an issue close to dusk, it will put you on the trail after dark. At least that's what they told us when they were hassling a couple friends of mine two years ago.

I've seen guys with a mount made up with their generator mounted to the hitch on the trailer. You would need an extension cord, but it would be with the trailer all the time, and if it fell off it would fall into the box... Or on the cab of the truck. Don't have any pics.

There has been lots of topics in the canam forums. The only Dayco to try on the outlander is the xtx2236. Not on an 800, only the 650 or 500. They wear our too fast and you lose a little performance at initial throttle. I went back to oem and noticed the difference.
