I knew it would be low with a 250, that's why I suggested a 350 earlier in the thread. My payload sticker says 3450lbs of payload and mine is a Lariat.
why not get the 350, if you do plan on getting a camper it has a much higher 'legal' weight capacity although they are pretty much the same as the 250. Check the door sticker, I think you'll be surprised.
I paid a bit more than that for my 2012 Lariat 350 with full leather and 11,500 gvw.
I have and recommend Torklift tie downs. For most trucks they are bolts ons. They aren't really bellly bars, more like small receivers that bolt to the frame on the front and usually slide into the receiver hitch on the rear. You can also get the Happijac brand that attach to the front of the...

This is mine, I'm not really a mudder so it's setup for fast trail riding. 28" Zillas on m16 vice beadlock rims, Muzzy dual exhaust, Ricochet skids, Elka Stage 4's
sort of related... a couple guys have ridden us throughout the winter with their outlaws. They have amazed me where they've went, the independent rear end really helps.
In like flyn, hopefully I can make it this year. Had to cancel last year because I was quadless waiting for BRP to decide what to do about my cracked frame.
