I have a 2007 Sportsman 450 that the last couple seasons has give me issues with hesitation when crossing water (floorboard deep or even less) or at WOT uphill. It will choke and sputter, chug along and not stall, and one the water is crossed or hill is crested it will come back to life and off...

I believe it is, but it will do it on dry hills too.

Once my quad gets into water any deeper than the floorboards, it loses power and just decides to sputter until I let off the throttle (doesn't stall and die though). On dry land it's absolutely fine. What could be my issue? I cleaned the carb in the spring, BTW. Thanks in Advance.

For your requirements, which I think some posters have lost sight of, I'm betting a Ford F-250 with the new 6.2L gas would be more than adequate. It would give a the best mix of towing power when loaded, and economy and reliability when empty. People complain about the gas price comparison...
