Another ride yesterday at Owl over to hunters and over to Blue Lake today. Just awesome scenery bluebird days but terrible snow. Like concrete. Don't waste your time travelling to sicamous until it snows.

The gravel those guys with the enclosed trailers ride!

Jackson’s sled blew the anti stab axle out the front of the rail . Previous owner cut the rail a little to close to the bolt hole . All fixed up . Found a set in Revy and got a new anti stab axle made up at Macs .

Rode Eagles the past three days . Trail is a smooth highway . Blessed with sun for the most parts of everyday . Lots of tracks in there . Need snow bad . Best snow we’ve found is back by the mine in the lowers trees . Ski loop
deep at best .

Thanks to another crew who went up to the Eagles Cabin on Sunday to cut firewood. The club members and staff cut, stacked (and even split some) enough wood to likely last to the end of next season! Thanks especially to those who put together a hot chili lunch to end a successful morning of work! We even had enough time for a great ride.

She’s deep and really spicy. Snowed all day and was hammering down when we left. Tmrrw will be even deeper. Ride safe, stay off the north facing and east facing slopes. Avy’s were coming down all day naturally.

Rode Eagles today and the snow obviously got deeper the further east one went. Nothing at all like the "stuckfest" above. 30-40 cm at the most and all the earlier tracks could still be felt though the fresh. Yes, there was a little more in the wind blown areas. Lots of untracked through the burn and the hard tracks/ruts underneath were a little dangerous in the tighter trees. Tended to throw a lighter person around. The lake below the cabin has water on the ice below the snow and the tracks that drew the water up will be a surprise for riders tomorrow.

The groomer had a little mechanical trouble last night but the trail was in pretty good shape. They were working on it this morning and it went out about 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

A decent day with warm temps, no wind, and even some sunshine.

No I haven't. By the looks of the tops of the hills on the way to Kamloops the other day, it appears like they got a good dump of fresh. Not a lot of info on there web pages nor on the Book of Faces.

Rode Saturday and Sunday. Saturday went into hunters main areas pounded out lower tree meadows and cut blocks good. Was busy lots of people in the cabins we drove by.
Went up to griffin the burner way. Trail is beat up bad reminded me about going up the keystone almost. Up top snow was better then hunters. Bumper to headlight deep in some spots. Went over to the the side closer to wap access not as tracked out as Sicamous side. Good snow up there but it’s seen some traffic. Took a peek towards caribou on the way down. They have done a ton of logging over there. Seen lots of sleds in town this weekend I’d imagine the main areas are beat out.

Would like to know how many people have been stranded in that drainage. Every year there’s always a few. Seen foot prints coming onto skyline off that creek a few times.

Is there any way out of there?

Yes, and no. It’s not for the faint of heart. The drainage/draw off of Morton is the start of Sicamous creek which eventually goes into Mara lake beside the house boat place. It’s a good 500m drop in elevation off the lake before things start to level out a bit she’s a real panty dropper, most freeze up halfway down and try to go back up and then realize they can’t get back up lol it’s kind of a one way type of trail ride It’s a good 8km creek bash from the lake before you will eventually come to an old road...if you go right it will take you back to the main owls trail - connector. Rene used to call that draw the business park. Most riders have no business going in there though lol

I’d agree with that. I’ve looked at it a few times and I don’t don’t no business down there.
