They are gonna replace all these engines because of a chance some metal was not removed during a machining process? Sounds like a huge waste to assume every engine was affected.
They are worried about a high speed stall which does not even make sense. Say your engine was affected by this...
The main reason I shop online for many items is convenience. Say I'm buying a serpentine belt for my car, I usually have to make 2 trips to a store. One trip to order it and another to pick it up. I just go on amazon and order the belt and it shows up in my mail box a couple days later. The...
I had something nasty hit New Year's Day. Felt "off" but still ate breakfast. Was on the tiolet 10 mins later. Proceeded to puke several times that day. By evening I was a bit better and recovered enough to eat the next day. Just getting over a cold. I never get sick so this one caught me...
If you are willing to wait a few years the forestry industry can be a easy and cost effective way to get a trade, though generally limited to millwright, electrician, or hd tech. I started at the mill at 19, worked 4 years in production and then put my name in for an apprentice position. Now...
Never worked there but I am actually going to school with a guy that is a millwright there. From what I hear he likes it, not sure what the rotation is though.
. Actually no. The main difference between my attitude towards bikers and vise versa is that I would never provoke a situation like these clowns did. I wish it would of only been a couple bad apples but there were a whole pack of idiots swarming the driver. Let's just say I was not surprised...
Nothing wrong with what the SUV driver did. Just more douchebag bikers as smart as a brick and the maturity of a 2 year old. Too bad he didn't run any more over.
I will lots of the time slow down when a semi pulls out and let him quickly get back in to the lane. I am all for being courteous and making everyones job easier, especially the truckers. However is there a reason a vehicle going that weighs 50 000lbs plus needs to be going that fast? There...
Ya I see what your saying. I try to be careful when I pass to make sure that the guy behind won't catch up to me on the flat or the downhill. I will either not pass or if I do I will speed up for a while to create some separation. I only got 2 major hill on my commute so this usually isn't an...
I agree with everything but point 5. I don't care if your paid by the hour, km, or in donuts....too many times I have a transport truck weighing several times more than my little civic ride my ass while I go to work. I drive 105 and there is no reason a truck that big should be going that fast...
I had the same stuff to watch for, my civic also has an interference engine and you can damage the valves just by turning the pulleys the wrong way. Putting a belt on with the timing marks in the right spot is a straight forward process. I'm sure the tdi jetta can't be that hard.
